We made it to the middle of October and the weather has been awesome. The forecast says that the good weather is ending so we wanted to get in one more hike. We decided to check out a hike we did a few years ago - - Intermittent Spring. According to Wikipedia, Intermittent Spring is the largest rhythmic spring in the world. It is located in Afton, Wyoming, which is about a 2-hour (very scenic) drive for us. (From Main Street in Afton, you turn left on 2nd Avenue. There's a sign for it.) It is not a difficult hike, only 1.5 miles roundtrip. The hike to the top of the spring is steep, but it is not long. The first time we went, there was too much water and we didn't get to see it stop. This time it did. When we got to the top, we noticed the water was flowing pretty strong. We took some pictures and soon noticed the water had stopped. It was still running down the hill, but it was not coming out anymore. It took about 15 minutes with no water, but then the water started flowing again. It was so cool to see.
