Elisa made her own list of top 10 hikes. (Actually, she made a list of top 15 hikes, but we'll call it a top 10 with 5 alternates.)
1. Mount Timpanagos -- This is Elisa's number one on the list because we did not make it to the top when we hiked it a couple years ago. We can't live with that. 2. Amicalola Falls State Park (Georgia) -- One of the main destinations of our road trip this summer is the Len Foote Hike Inn. You have to hike about 5 miles to the inn and then there are other hikes around the area. |
5. Walls of Jericho -- Estillfork, Alabama
6. Lost Valley Trail -- Ponka, Arkansas
7. Looking Glass Rock Trail -- Pisgah Forest, North Carolina
8. Alum Cave Bluffs Trails -- Gatlinburg, Tennessee
9. Elephant Hill to Druid Arch -- Canyonlands National Park (Utah)
10. Maxwell Falls -- Arapaho National Forest (Colorado)
Alternates:
Clifty Falls State Park -- Indiana
Natural Bridge & Hood Branch Trail -- Kentucky
Table Rock Trail -- Pickens, South Carolina
Clark Creek Primitive Trail -- Woodville, Mississippi
Rattlesnake Ledge -- North Bend, Washington
